opening up an apple ID on a phone that was partially reset and now it wants my current password (I have) but also the previous password. This was my daughters phone she gave me and cannot remember the code!

I had to have a reboot of my phone done in 12/2022 and since then I get a message that "some of my account features won't be available until I sign again." When I sign in it opens it with my apple password, asks for my phone password to open and then it asks for the phones old password. This was my daughters phone she gave to me and she cannot remember the password. How do I get pass that so I can regain all of my Apple account passwords on the phone?

Ask your daughter to read -> If you can't connect or sign in to iCloud

If you can't connect or sign in to iCloud - Apple Support

Then she has to read -> this Apple article: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch -> What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Then she has to remove the iPhone from his account, see this Apple article:

Then you can sign in with your own Apple ID.

Read this before you use a 2nd hand iPhone.

You can also contact Apple support for help, -> Get Support (apple.com)

You have to show proof of ownership of your product, provide all documentation showing your purchase of the device.

If you do not have additional proof of ownership, contact the reseller. They may be able to provide the original purchase document.

Once Apple receive your proof of ownership, Apple will further review your request and provide an update.
