How to enable IPV6 on iPhone using mobile data plan?

I am working on a project about IPV4/IPV6 Dual Stack, I would like to know in detail if there is any specific parameter IPV4/IPV6 to enable and disable.

Specifically with regard to Apple devices (iPhone, iPad, etc.).

However I know that these terminals support the configuration of IPV4/IPV6, but I want to understand how I can do it on the phone using the mobile data service and not WI-FI.

Regards,

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 17

Your instructions here are unclear and don't make sense in the context of IOS:

• Scroll down and tap on "Wi-Fi" (even if you're using mobile data).
• Find your active mobile data connection (cellular network) and tap on the blue "i" icon next to it.
• Look for the "IPv6 Address" field. If you see an IPv6 address listed, then your iPhone is already using IPv6.

Wi-Fi settings on iPhone won't show any information about the cellular network.

Enabling IPv6 on an iPhone using a mobile data plan is typically an automatic process managed by your mobile carrier and the iOS operating system. Most modern mobile networks support both IPv4 and IPv6, and iPhones are designed to work seamlessly with these protocols. If you're concerned about IPv6 compatibility or want to check if your iPhone is using IPv6, you can follow these steps:

  1. Check Current IP Address:
    • Connect your iPhone to your mobile data network.
    • Open the "Settings" app.
  1. Verify IPv6 Usage:
    • While on mobile data, you can also verify IPv6 usage by visiting IPv6 test websites, such as "http://test-ipv6.com" or "http://ipv6-test.com" in your web browser. These sites will provide information about your IPv6 connectivity.
  1. Contact Your Carrier:
    • If you're having specific issues with IPv6 or believe there's a problem with your IPv6 connectivity, you can contact your mobile carrier's customer support for assistance. They can provide information about IPv6 support on their network and help troubleshoot any potential issues.
  1. Check Carrier Settings Update:
      • Carrier settings updates provided by your mobile carrier can include network-related changes, including IPv6 support. To check for carrier settings updates:Open the "Settings" app.
      • Go to "General" > "About".
  • If a carrier settings update is available, you might see a prompt to install it.
  1. Use IPv6-Only Websites or Services:
    • If you want to ensure that you're using IPv6, you can visit websites or use online services that are specifically designed to work over IPv6. Many major websites and services are now accessible over both IPv4 and IPv6.

Remember that most users don't need to manually enable or configure IPv6 on their iPhones when using a mobile data plan. The iPhone and your carrier work together to automatically handle network protocol selection based on network availability and compatibility. If you're facing specific connectivity issues, it's best to contact your carrier's support for guidance.
