If your phone is an iPhone 6s, we cannot help you to update it to iOS 16, because iOS 16 is not compatible with it.
Do you need help updating to the latest version of iOS that is actually available for your phone?
I'm sorry but I think it's incorrect to say that ios16 is not compatible with cpu's older than a11 because iOS 16 is fully compatible with iPad which has a9 cpu (same as iPhone 6s and 6splus) and iPad Pro with a9x CPU (a version of OC CPU). Unfortunately, I think this is a move by Apple to cut support for older devices like the iPhone 6s and iPhone 7. They could easily have updated them to iOS 16 since the iPad models with a9 CPUs have been updated
An iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, or iPhone SE 1 isn't capable of 16 or above; they require an A11 or better CPU.

we need update ios 16 I phone 6s mobile
Sorry but that phone cannot update to iOS 16.
I'm running 12.3.1. It is an iPhone 6s, the phone model say so. Apple is showing I should update to 15.8.2. Hopefully they wouldn't be offering an update that won't work. All I need is iOS 14 so the Picture-this app will work. Thanks

i frequently installed iOS 15.8 …. But I was still wondering if apple could *** iOS 16 in iPhone 6s . It will be very helpful to us
No. It's NEVER going to happen. If you want a higher level iOS version, then you MUST buy a newer iPhone which can run a higher version iOS.

Update iOS 16
No. An iPhone 6s cannot run iOS 16 – and there is no point in asking for it, when that question has already been answered in this thread.
An iPhone 6s can run the latest version of iOS 15. Apple released iOS 15.7.9 just a few days ago:

As already stated in this thread, an iPhone 6s cannot run iOS 16 or higher.
There was an iOS 15 security release (iOS 15.7.9) the other day. If you have an iPhone 6s, you can upgrade to it.

The iPhone 6s is not compatible with iOS 16.

Posting "Yes" in a thread whose title is "Can iPhone 6s update to iOS 16?" will not change the real answer: "No".

Please my I phone 6s new update
You can ask as nicely as you want, but an iPhone 6s cannot and will not ever be able to update to iOS 16 or anything higher. If you need a higher level iOS version, your ONLY option is to retire your very old iPhone and buy a newer, more modern iPhone. That's the ONLY option you have.

An iPhone 6 cannot run iOS 16. For it, iOS 12 is the end of the line. If you cannot upgrade to iOS 12.5.7, from an earlier version, please post back with details of what happens when you try.

Ok 12 apdate
If you have an iPhone 6, and it is running a version of iOS earlier than iOS 12.5.7, see these instructions to update your iPhone to iOS 12.5.7. If you are already on iOS 12.5.7, you're as far as you can go for now. (An iPhone 6 will never be able to update to iOS 13 or above.)

And just what iPhone do you own and what is its current iOS version? Did you read anything past the first post in this thread, which likely answers this for you?
