My iTunes playlists and ratings not showing up on Music app

I have an extensive iTunes collection on my mac - it's all local (not cloud music), with lots of playlists, metadata, ratings, etc. I copied it to a new Mac, which has Music application, not iTunes. When I open it, all I see is a flat list of tracks, none of my playlists are there and I don't see the ratings carry over. What am I doing wrong - what's the way to keep all my iTunes metadata when migrating up to a new OS (Ventura)?

Same issue:

updated iTunes, wiped out ratings, need help restoring.

Movies & TV shows requiring to be downloaded again.

Videos that were purchased are gone, requires repurchasing.


Appreciate your help.
