Macbook (Ventura OS) automatic log in with Touch ID?

Can I log into my Macbook Air (Ventura 13.4.1) with just Touch ID? Currently, I have to click my User account vs a Guest, enter my password, then I have to do Touch ID to log in again. The goal is to turn this thing on, then Touch ID and then get on with my life but there's those extra steps. Apparently this was possible before.

From what I've found, a way to do this is in System Preferences/ Users & Groups and that leads to losing Touch ID, Apple Pay and File Encryption and who knows what else. ThErE hAs To Be A bEtTeR wAy.

So, how do I log in easily without losing those things?

Thanks in advance!
