I used to use the actual alarm sound listed under the classic sounds for when I set my alarm. I can't find where it's an option in the clock settings anymore. I have a severe hearing loss and it's the only sound I can hear. I've had to go back to using my vibrating alarm clock that goes under my pillow, which can give me challenges with my neck. Is there any way to get this sound option back?

I would note that I am running iOS 17.4 and I have the "Alarm" tone under "Classic". You'll find the Classic option all the way at the bottom of the Sound list in the Alarm clock.
I agree! I’m partially deaf and these new sounds are much too quiet (and YES my phone volume is turned all the way up!) They don’t wake me! Please give us the option of some of the old traditional alarm sounds, or at least make the new ones louder. Or tell me how to import alarm sounds from the Web?
for me, it is the sound of an arpège that was the first time I don’t get up stressed with an alarm. The update removed it and now I don’t like any of the available melodies.

This is exactly my issue and it only kicked in this week for me or I’d be here sooner complaining.. I’m losing my mind over this it makes no sense for them to delete classic sounds like “old phone” in calendars and other alerts…. This is like a sick joke they are playing on the hard of hearing I’ve missed meeting and appointments in the last 2 days due to this ridiculous violation of unwarranted changes.. if they keep changing I’m never buying another product.

mu sound is not working in my iPhone. I am hearing the sound on my personal alarm clock, not my watch or my phone. What’s going on?
Of course, this is not a good thing for any of us who rely on our phones alarm clock !! I could care less about the tone (maybe tbd).. I just need the thing to wake me up !
I hate the new sounds. WE WANT RADAR SOUND BACK. I can’t wake up in the morning anymore, if I wanted a lullaby for alarm I would buy an android.
The alarm sound used to be in calendar alerts. We have explained that numerous times. Along with other alerts that we usedfor text messaging. We’ve also explained that in several messages.
Thanks so much for that little tidbit of info. My Old Car Horn is gone from the list but there it is, still on the actual alarm clock input. So relieved. It’s the only one loud enough to wake me up!

This is a disaster. Six months and the alarm tone is still missing from notifications. I have no clue why the iOS team would arbitrarily decide to take the only useful tone and replace it with more "oh so gentle" alternatives. (Is it yet another instance of preferring aesthetics to functionality?)
Just in case Apple doesn't know: When you are deeply focused, it is very easy to filter out every notification tone on iOS except "Alarm." If Alarm was the only option available I would go crazy, but there are some cases where it is essential for work and productivity. In my case, there are some work emails from some clients that I cannot miss, and the gentle sound of synth raindrops aren't enough to ensure that never happens. I used to set those clients to VIP and the notification tone to "Alarm" to make sure it never did. Now I've got nothing and have to look for alternatives to iOS mail to make sure my workflow actually works. Seriously, what is going on in that head of yours Apple?
