Lost Mode IPhone offline

Hello everyone, so to be honest I lost my phone last week, and unfortunately it didn’t have a passcode. I put a lost mode on it. But as I know the phone will be on the lost mode when it will connect to the internet. So my question is can iPhone be activated on lost mode offline, and if not, what are the other options that I can try to safe my information?

I would be very glad for your support,

Thanks.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost your iPhone. Activating Lost Mode is a good step to take when you lose your device, but it may not be sufficient on its own. Lost Mode allows you to display a custom message on the lock screen (if it's connected to the internet). Here are some additional steps you should consider taking:

  1. Change Your Apple ID Password: If someone finds your iPhone, they might try to access your personal information. Changing your Apple ID password will prevent unauthorized access to your iCloud account and any other connected services.
  2. Report the Lost Device: Contact your local law enforcement and provide them with the necessary details about your lost iPhone. This can help in case it is found or recovered.
  3. Contact Your Mobile Carrier: Inform your mobile carrier that your iPhone is lost, so they can take appropriate measures such as blocking the device's IMEI to prevent it from being used on their network.
  4. Track Your iPhone: If you had Find My iPhone enabled, use iCloud to track its last known location and see if it is moving or stationary.
  5. Remotely Erase Data: If you have sensitive data on your iPhone, consider remotely erasing it to protect your personal information. This can be done through iCloud if you had "Find My iPhone" enabled.
  6. Notify Apple Support: Reach out to Apple support and provide them with the details of your lost iPhone. They might be able to assist you further.

Remember that the effectiveness of some of these steps may depend on your device's connectivity status, whether it's connected to the internet or turned off. It's essential to take swift action to protect your data and increase the chances of finding your lost iPhone.
