After recent update, my Apple Watch's battery drains quickly.
As of this week after the latest apple watch update, my apple watch does not keep a charge more that 1 hour. How do i troubleshoot this?

Firstly you can check you iwatch battery health if it is below 80% then a replacement is recommended

Thanks - this is helpful. Battery shows at 75%
though this issue suddenly happened immediately after watchOS update and in this screen capture you can see it drops from full charge to no charge in an hour or two.
this is without any activity or special apps running like fitness.
I can send in for a battery replacement but before I do I want to understand why the battery drains so fast all of the sudden.
it’s not that I am getting 8 hours of life - it’s less than 2. And this is very new.

Responding to the message above. I recommend if you are going to use your apple watch consistently and do other activities other than just checking the time occasionally turn on low battery mode it lasts a lot longer this way.
The battery ir other hardware is sick. No way to burn that amount if battery using software.
In my user tip there us an overnight self discharge test.
