Is my iPhone 11 compatible with MagSafe

so if i had a iphone 11 case that has a ring for a magsafe charger would i be able to use it without it messing up my phone?

No. MagSafe is a feature of the iPhone 12 and newer.

The iPhone 11 is compatible with Qi compatible chargers. It's entirely possible a 3rd party makes a case that will latch onto a MagSafe charger (which is Qi compliant as far as I know).

So it will charge your phone, if you get the alignment of the phone and the charging pad correctly. It won't charge your phone as fast as it would charge a MagSafe-compatible phone, and you won't get any help with putting it into the correct alignment, but in your situation, it will work as a generic Qi charger.

Your phone supports wireless charging that "works with Qi chargers," but does not support MagSafe. It does not have the magnets to pull the MagSafe charging "puck" into correct alignment (or any other enhancements which MagSafe might involve).
