What to do if my iPhone 14 pro max drop in water

Do NOT put the phone in rice. Tilt the phone at about a 45 degree angle against a wall or other surface so that the ports are on the bottom to allow any excess water to drain from the phone.

Do NOT attempt to power up the phone.

Make an appointment at the Apple Store or take the phone to an authorized Apple Service shop to let them check out the phone and go over your options with you.

Electronics and water do not mix well. You may be able to use it, but in time ruined components will probably render the phone useless. I suggest that you make an appointment at the nearest Apple Store to have it checked out.
