Time needed for Apple to replace MacBook Air 2 screen

I have a cracked MacBook Air M2 screen (Apple Care+). Does the community know if Apple can typically replace the screen same day?

A lot depends on your location, the general availability of display panels, the number of repairs Apple or an Authorized Apple Service Provider has in their queue, etc.

This is a guess, but it is unlikely that a shop would have laptop displays in stock as compared to iPhone displays which get broken all the time (and are less expensive to keep in stock). In larger metro areas they may, but then again like any repair, you will be put in a queue like any else.

The best would be to contact Apple, an Apple Store, or an Authorized Apple Service Provider directly to get their repair time estimate.

Thanks for the quick response, I did call Apple support and they are super vague about the amount of time it will take. They won’t even give you an estimate. It’s a lot of maybes and so forth, and you’ll have to go to the store for a definitive answer. It’s just that right this second during the summer, I am a good 90 miles from any Apple store, and of course would love to get the problem resolved in one day, but it’s sounding more and more unlikely. Thanks for weighing in!
