Sending pics from Apple Watch not working?

Hey all--

Trying to send pictures from the Photos app via iMessage on my watch and it keeps giving me an error that the images aren't delivered. I can send text, but not images.

Long story short I got myself into a proper pickle with my passcode, and now I'm trying to save what I can. Watch is still linked to my phone, and my most recent 100 favorite images show up on the watch with an option to send. I still have the phone, and I haven't done recovery mode at all yet.

Wanting to at least recover those if possible because my backup situation was.........less than ideal. I'll own that. Lots of stuff I could have done to avoid this, but would love any help getting these last pics off my watch if possible.

The email option doesn't seem to be working either.

Thanks in advance for any input!

Hello seanzy777,

It seems that the root issue is a forgotten passcode. Is that forgotten passcode on the Apple Watch or the paired iPhone? We ask because these photos should all have been synced from the paired iPhone. Meaning, there is likely no reason to share these photos from the Apple Watch, if they are on the iPhone itself. Learn more about that here: Choose a photo album and manage storage on Apple Watch

If needed, use the following to resolve the issue with the forgotten passcode, depending on the device type:

Keep in mind, there may be data loss following these steps above, but this may be unavoidable.

Hoping this helps out.
