AppleTV Login Box disappears before I can enter my information in Chrome

Don't seem to be able to edit my previous post for some reason.

I realized I missed one detail:

After clicking the "Application" tab, click "Storage" to the left. That's where you will find the "Clear site data".

The only way i found around this is to click on the "Forget appleid or Passord" link and on that page there is a link to Sign in ,,, stupid i know,, but also when i do this i cannot watch the Yellowjackets season 1 I purchased ,, i have to watch that on my TV ,,, it doesnt even show up,,, good luck all

The workaround for me is to type out my Apple ID somewhere like Notes, then copy and paste it very quickly into the entry field.

This *will not* change the appearance of the entry field, so you must click on "Continue" to find out if you were quick-draw-McGraw enough.

Sorry, can't help with that. I left Apple about 12 yrs ago for similar problems as this, it was always some lockdown feature that kept me from doing something I wanted to do. My solution, a mind-numbing 1 week experience moving over to Android with the data, etc., then after that, I've been very happy. I recently signed up for Apple MLS package and now can't even log in because Apple is the one website that apparently doesn't 'like' Firefox and I can't even log in to Apple now. Just re-confirms my decision to leave and deal with the stare down look from my peers because I don't have an Apple phone. Sorry if I've wasted your time with my venting.

I found that opening it up in an incognito tab let's me log in without deleting any cookies or anything. I've closed it out and reopened it several times just to make sure and it works every time without a problem.

Thank you hebgengirl for that advice on the reset settings in the browser. Worked instantly and now i can log into apple music too. Am so disappointed with apple. They should have known about that option and the fact none of them did amazes me that they are even employed in that department.

I had this same problem in all browsers...I found that when you go to tv.apple.com, in the top left corner, click the OPENTV button, it will take you to the TV App which pops up a new window allowing you to login. Hope this helps. Super frustrating for a while though.

WOO. I got it to work.

At first I tried JUST clearing the cookie specifically for tv.apple.com. That didn't work. Then I removed ALL Apple cookies. Then it worked. Phew.

Also, when it wasn't working, for some reason a "new in private window" would work. It didn't seem to have the disappearing window. Probably because the in private window doesn't save cookie information, and that seems to be connected what was causing the issue (for me.)

Your response is to contact google support. I contacted google support, they said contact apple. Neither of you know anything about anything and your app is total ****. Unsubscribing.

Experiencing the exact same problem for days now. I've been trying to login to cancel my Apple TV account, but cannot because Apple's broken login screen.

Microsoft Edge as well. If it's happening in 3 different browsers and on different computers and phones, then it isn't user error. It's Apple's issue

FIXED

1. Go to Chrome Preferences, select 'Reset settings' in the left menu, then select 'Restore settings to their original defaults.'

This is still an on going issue.
