Music account seems erased; same Apple ID, new SIM

How do I regain access to my playlists and active subscription? After changing my SIM and carrier (and relocating to a new country), my entire library disappeared and the subscription now shows that it supposedly expired 7 months ago even though I was using my account every day including the same day I switched my SIM. When I open the app it has my Apple ID signed in but the only option is to “join”/start a new sub.

I’m still signed into my same Apple ID. When I look at iPhone storage, Apple Music shows it has 7.1MB. Some support articles mentioned ensuring sync library is enabled, but that option does not appear in the Music settings from Settings. My region still shows US in Settings.

Things I’ve tried:

• Signing out/in of Apple ID

• Signing out/in at Media & Purchases

• Signing out/in on app store

Hi,

When you change countries, existing subscriptions need to be cancelled. You will need to start you Apple Music subscription from scratch.

Change your Apple ID country or region – Apple Support (UK)
