Apple TV does not connect to WiFi. When I select my network, it automatically informs me that I’ve entered the work g password. It is the same password I use for everything and all other devices are connected.

my older Apple TV does not allow for me to enter a network password or even “forget network” in order to try again. When I select the same network I’ve been using for years, it automatically shares “There was a problem connecting to the network. The WiFi password you entered is not correct. Try again. (-100)”

It doesn’t even allow me enter the password or try to forget network in order to try and enter it manually.

I’ve reset the the device using an Ethernet cable and I’ve also reset my modem.

What is your model Apple TV box?

Find your Apple TV model number - Apple Support

  1. Try the steps as mentioned in: If your Apple TV can't connect to Wi-Fi - Apple Support
  2. Try the ‘Other…’ option instead of selecting a listed discovered network. Especially if the password has been changed.
  3. For Apple TV (4th generation or earlier), verify that the router or access point isn’t set to use WPA3, as only device models from ~2018 or later support that. Instead use ‘WPA2/WPA3 Transitional’. Some users report that they had to set ‘WPA2’-only first.
