Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. Checking the guide you recently reviewed, it only mentions purchases and subscriptions as those can differ between regions. Here's that link, just in case: Change your
Apple ID country or region - Apple Support
Your iCloud email and contacts should still be OK when you switch regions.
