Adult role to parent/guardian - help!

I know you cannot transfer the family manager role to someone else without disbanding the family and restarting one. We don’t want to do that and lose all our music, etc. that we have in our subscriptions. My husband is the family manager and I am listed as an adult. However, we now want to add our child’s account but we would like me to be listed as the parent guardian. Our question is: if he removes me from the family and then re-adds me, can he change my role at that time to parent/guardian? Or will it default to adult (since that’s what I am now) and not be able to be changed?

Follow up question: if he ends up having to disband the family, and I recreate it with myself as the manager, will we lose all our music and playlists, etc., that we have through our Apple Music subscription?
