On Apple TV 4K (2nd Generation) tvOS 16.6, I cannot turn on “Control TVs and Receivers” under Home Theater Control. It is set to “off” and clicking on it does not allow me to change it to “on.”
Help! How do I turn it on?

I think the Apple TV software tries to detect if that option is even available/supported by the connected devices. Try resetting the HDMI connection by disconnection the HDMI cable(s) on both ends, then re-connect. (Alternatively restart all HDMI devices in the chain.)

I’m having the same issue. Got the Apple TV 4K a couple weeks ago. It was working fine with the Apple TV remote able to control my receiver and TV. Just out of the blue it stopped working today and I’m not able to enable the home theater control in my Apple TV…
