The iPad clipboard is merely a temporary location for text (or objects) that you “cut” or “copy”. When you “paste”, the last item copied to the clipboard is pasted to the chosen location.

The iOS/iPadOS clipboard is not of itself an accessible location or App - neither does it maintain any kind of history that can be reviewed or edited.

To copy to the clipboard, highlight the text passage, image or object; from the menu, select Copy.

Having copied the text or other item, you can simply “paste” to someplace else. To paste the current clipboard object, touch-and-hold with your finger to expose an action menu; from the menu, tap Paste.

Not sure I understand what you are asking.

The clipboard is place where copied items or text reside temporarily.

You can't post messages to the clipboard. You can copy a Message to the clipboard and then paste it somewhere else.

Anything in the clipboard can then be pasted by using the "Paste" option in the tools bar on the onscreen keyboard..

There is no separate access to the clipboard and there can only be one item or text in it at a time.

I need help finding files saved to clip board on iPad air

As has been explained multiple times in the thread you replied to, there

is nowhere to access the clipboard on an iPad. You can only engage the

paste option in an app and paste whatever is currently in the clipboard.

Anything you copied, including files, will be in the "clipboard" memory area until you copy something else.

To get whatever was copied back, you need to paste it somewhere else. Engage the "paste" option in the Files app to get any files you copied.

THERE IS NO WAY TO ACCESS THE CLIPBOARD ON AN IPAD.

*beyond pasting what is in it.

There are some third-party Apps that add more flexible clipboard functions - such as Yoink:

As far as I was told anything posted or copied on an iPad is held in iCloud! And is held till overwritten! You must copy and paste!

Close. It is not on icloud. It is held in the iPad's memory (RAM, not storage), until something else that has been copied overwrites it.

This area of memory is commonly referred to as the "clipboard".

There is no way to access it, beyond pasting what's there.

WHAT I MEANT YOU CANT FIND CLIPBOARD WHEN SEARCHING FOR IT, IT DOES NOT EXIST AS A PLACE OR SOMETHING YOU CAN ACCESS!

That is correct. That is not how it was intended to be used. It's just temporary storage. If you need to copy things and then find them later, paste them into a Notes page. Or see the recommendations LotusPilot gave.

And please stop shouting.
