gmail app icon has disappeared on iphone SE 2nd generation

Updated gmail app through App Store. No icon for Gmail.

Shut down, then restarted iphone. No icon for Gmail.

Went to settings, gmail. It is version 6.0.230709. Updated today, Aug 9 at 1240EDT. All settings seemed correct.

Noticed default mail app wasn't Gmail, made it default.


I noticed that some brainiac said all you have to do is hold the icon, and it will start everything shaking; idiot, THERE IS NO ICON TO TOUCH. THAT'S WHAT THE PROBLEM IS! Where did the Gmail icon go? It was there yesterday!


Note, the name of my device is iphone 5s. I converted it from my old phone.

Swipe to the last screen on your phone where it shows all the app, find gmail, hold down and move it to a different screen. So that Brainiac was correct if you followed all the directions.


If it says iphone 5S then go into settings - general - name -
