Updates when lid is shut on MacBook Pro

Can my MacBookPro still update when I have the lid closed and it's in sleep mode?

Required managed update "An update is scheduled to automatically install tonight. This update requires at least 50% battery or connection to a power source. Your...." It just went away so I can't type the rest. It has the right icon but it always disappears when I go to Systems Setting. This has been going on for over a month. One time no updates in software update were available; right now, macOS Ventura 13.6.3 and Safari are. I'm reluctant to tell any software update right now.

Yes, if you have Power Nap enabled.

Thanks so much, I'll check on that setting. I think I have it selected but not sure.
