MAC Mini M1 shutdown

Hello,

For the past month or two, every time i shut my mac down it actually restarts, and then comes up saying that it restarted unexpectedly. The next time I shut down it works. It seems to happen when I have been on my computer for a while - 6 - 7 hours. Any ideas on what could be the issue?

Attached a crash report and spec is below

Spec of Mac Mini -

Chip - Apple M1

Memory - 16gb

MacOS - Ventura 13.5

For starters, have a look at > If your Mac restarted because of a problem - Apple Support

What App's have been using and running for the last 6-7 hours?

Are any of those App's froze and showing in red?

see > Activity Monitor User Guide for Mac - Apple Support

If not, maybe try quitting all of those App's before Shutdown.

see > Quit apps on Mac - Apple Support

Or Force quitting any App's that are frozen before Shutdown.

see > How to force an app to quit on your Mac - Apple Support

If no App's are crashing, then I would look at a newly connected external USB device next.

Try ejecting and disconnect any USB storage devices and then test a Shutdown.

Generally and Panic Crash is associated with either a Hardware Failure or Third Party Kernel Extension installed and used on this computer

To avoid the question / answer and question / answer scenario

To drill down to the kernel ( humour here ) of the issue >>

Download the Application Etrecheck directly from the Developer.

This is a Diagnostic Tool that makes no changes to the computer.

It makes a coherent and readable inventory of both the Hardware and Software used on the computer

The application is free or paid from added features.
