Photos image date change

I uploaded a scanned photo and changed the date of the image. Photos did not move it to the appropriate Year and month in the Library

What system and Photos versions are you running?

Did you check the Info pane for that image to see if the Capture Data is what you tried to set?

What view are you in that the image isn't in the right order?

Thank you for the reply. I finally found the photo on the right date in the Library. There were many photos on that date which caused my confusion.
