How to return to the iPad view on WSJ app?
For some reason, my WSJ app changed to an iPhone view on the iPad. I can’t figure out how to return to the iPad view?

I was very distressed and disappointed by the new WSJ app (version 14). I emailed WSJ customer support and also left a review in the Apple App store. Here are the responses that I received.

The developer response (WSJ product team) through the app store:
The update to our iPad layout is part of our broad and ongoing effort to create a more immersive platform and better showcase all of our great image, video, and graphics content. We hope you will find that the new layout strengthens the delivery of our content, and makes it easier to stay up to date with the latest news from WSJ.
I don't understand how "the new layout strengthens the delivery of our content".
Then new WSJ app is absolutely terrible. Go back to old app…because I have stopped reading the WSJ. Just awful!
The “new” app is junk and a complete waste of time. You are essentially locked into today’s issue (or whatever they choose to present), without any means of loading past issues, etc.
You are absolutely right and that is my BIGGEST COMPLAINT!
I agree and wrote to The WSJ staff. No reply yet.
I received the exact same message from WSJ three weeks ago. The so called enhancements are worthless
Isn’t it terrific to see the format revised and returned?
Conversations have returned too — which was good to see/read.
Bravo!
it seems that there are quite a few apps that are not fully iPad friendly
yes, thank you for clarifying
Huh? Where, how, what version will return to the iPad app format?
I emailed them several times and gave up so I cancelled. I agree you should not wait as they will not fix it otherwise. It is incredible to be they would do this.
Just a note, I doubt anyone at WSJ has a disciplined process for reading this thread. There have been a couple of scripted responses from the WSJ on interim (and unacceptable) efforts to "fix" the app. I encourage you to email/talk to them directly. If you are still a subscriber, you can contact their customer service via your account.
Like many others in this discussion, I cancelled my subscription, which makes it more difficult to contact them.
Someone also posted a link to a survey which has a freeform text box on the last question. Check earlier parts of the thread.
