How to return to the iPad view on WSJ app?

For some reason, my WSJ app changed to an iPhone view on the iPad. I can’t figure out how to return to the iPad view?

I was very distressed and disappointed by the new WSJ app (version 14). I emailed WSJ customer support and also left a review in the Apple App store. Here are the responses that I received.

The developer response (WSJ product team) through the app store:

The update to our iPad layout is part of our broad and ongoing effort to create a more immersive platform and better showcase all of our great image, video, and graphics content. We hope you will find that the new layout strengthens the delivery of our content, and makes it easier to stay up to date with the latest news from WSJ.

I don't understand how "the new layout strengthens the delivery of our content".

I don't view this as positively as some folks appear to since they still have not done what they've promised (which should not be that difficult based on my own personal experiences in SW Development and Product Management). Further, if they would just tell us all what happened, and why. I think it would buy some goodwill as well. Regardless, hopefully they will get this resolved soon.

One observation from all the App Store reviews.....they have lost a lot of long time customers paying upwards of $40 a month who are now being exposed to customers like me who pay $1/week for WSJ, Barrons, and Market Watch. My comments on what I pay were edited out but enough got through that should open their eyes.

While iPad users may be a smaller slice of their users, their average revenue per users is probably much higher and will go down substantially because of the decision they made when V14 launched. And the user demographics for their ad business probably got hammered also.

My sense is Daniel and his team are under intense pressure from the highest levels to get this right ASAP.

I kept seeing this “helpful” message and had no clue what they were talking about plus the e- version took forever to download. I was forced to read the Washington Post first before the wsj downloaded. Not a good way to start my day. I did what many others have done, deleted the ap etc. I kept getting the $1 promotion subscription. I had just paid for my regular subscription. $39 or something. Can anyone figure out what their word salad means? What should we do to get our wsj back?
