AirPrint stopped working on iPhone

I was hoping they would fix it with the new update but nothing. This is inhibiting a lot of people who work from home. It’s also embarrassing when you tell an android person you can’t print it because Apple screwed up. You then send it to them and they have no problem. Maybe it’s time I finally make the switch.

I have the same problem with both iphones - 12pro with latest updates. Dell printer - several years olded - works fine. Cannon MF264dw will not print from phones. It shows up in the list but when you select it goes to "No Printer Selected". Both MacBooks work fine as well as my Windows and Linux machines. Sometimes the Cannon gets confused when I am using VMware - Windows instance on the Macbook and print from the Windows instance. I have to power down the Cannon to get it to work. Never an issue with the Dell.

I went through the power cycling for all devices as mentioned above. I can’t get my Canon MF260 to print from my iPhone anymore. The iPhone identifies it in the printer selection screen but when it switches back to the print screen it says no printers found. It worked fine through several moves and changes of phones and ISPs. I downloaded the Canon app to my phone and it prints from that, but not from my email or the Acrobat app. canon’s app is terrible—it doesn’t print comments on pdfs, which I need. Help! Thanks!

We have 6 iPhones (11, 12, 13, & 14) all on iOS 7.1.2 as well as 2 iPad Airs and they all stopped printing to our Canon mf232 that is supposedly AirPrint compatible. Started after iOS upgrades last month & PCs & MacBooks still print fine an Apple sees it but when you select it, it changes to “no printer found” - Aarrrrgggghhh!!!

The culprit is the updated iOS 17. Both my iPAD and iPhone are not able to air print after the update. My old iPAD on iOS 16 and my Android phone are able to print. I have updated the firmware of the printer and did all the things that were suggested but to no avail. APPLE must solve this problem urgently.

Hello all! Just updated our iPhones. Again. And the air print still does not connect to our Canon printer. It does however, connect to my son‘s iPad. So! If your phones still aren’t connecting to your printers, try your iPads if you have them. Still super inconvenient and annoying, but better than nothing. Please, Apple! Please fix this soon.

that's whats' happening with me. I try to print, my ipad iphone initially sees the printer, then when I select (on iphone ipad), it resorts back to no printer found. I've done the restart reboot process to no avail.

Apple, what is going to be done? This clearly an issue several people are having. Even with the lastest update, I still can't print from my phone. I can print from my iPad and MacBook with no problem. My printer appears, but I cannot select it.

I have an iPhone 13. Os and apps all up to date. Can see and air print to canon printer using the canon app. Can see printer from safari and chrome but when select print it just doesn’t get sent to printer.

Still not fixed with the latest IOSpad 17.2 as of 22/1/2024. The iPad sees the canon printer after manually selecting (was previously automatically recognised). Trying to print either does nothing or prints half the job. Trying to print through adobe acrobat app is equally flakey.

It is so frustrating. We have been complaining for months and they have been doing nothing about it!! It has been affecting my work as well!!! I may be switching to Samsung. It is beyond ridiculous.

Just did the same. Updated iPad Pro 11 (3rd) and iPhone 15 pro to iOS 17.3 but did not resolve AirPrint issue with Canon Pixmia g6020. Have also tried turning Xfinity router and all WiFi devices off for 5 minutes with restarting in the recommended order to no avail

Having same issues as others. Cannot airprint from iPhone 15 pro or iPad Pro 11” , 3rd, both with iOS 17 latest update to Canon pixma g6020 printer. Printed fine before iOS 17 updates. Printer has Canons latest firmware 1.05 update. I can print form my Windows 11 pc

I have the same problem as everyone else on this Apple community board.

seems like what we all have in common is the fact that we all updated, per Apple’s instructions, to the newest update iso 17. Something….

Now Apple must correct this inconvenience.
