iTunes gift card doesn’t work as a payment option

Whenever I attempt to purchase something on the App Store or in a game, it takes me to a page that asks me to choose a payment method. However, when I click on the Apple ID option (I have 25$ in it) nothing happens.

iPhone 6, iOS 12

You did a good job, you have set your Apple Account balance as your default payment👍
