Troubleshooting a Mac with a Flashing Question Mark:

  1. Go Here: If your Mac starts up to a question mark - Apple Support
  2. As it Reads: "A folder with a flashing question mark means that your startup disk is no longer available or doesn't contain a working Mac operating system."

So, what to Try:

A. Mount the Drive in Recovery Mode:

Boot into Recovery Mode (Intel or Silicon) . Then, get the Disk Utility. From there, you need to click the “Mount’ button to proceed. So, select the drives, and then click "Mount" Try rebooting once more.

B. Remount the Drive:

If Mounting is of no success, then click unmount button, and then the mount button. Try rebooting once more.

C. Use "First Aid":

If you cannot mount the drive, then click the First Aid button to fix this volume.
