My moms AirTags for the dogs chime, can I turn it off??

When my mom goes out of town the AirTags that she has on the dogs collars chime because my iPhone is not connected (since you can only connect one user ID). The sound, although completely different, reminds them of the chime on the bark collar and they react as if they are in trouble. Is there a way to set my device as “safe” or something on the AirTag so that they will stop chiming and torturing the poor dogs? I don’t want to take the tags off in case the dogs get out and we do need to track them.
