Troubleshooting Mail Issues After an Update:
A. Use a New App Password:
Do you use an App Password? If so, try a new App Password. Sometimes, changes (i.e. updates) are made to the device, and then mail server syncing becomes an issue (which is what a new App Password it intended to fix). B. Report this to Apple:
Do your Part: Having just gotten this error after an update, Apple should be made aware of this. Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what bugs exist, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come.
- Go Here: Feedback - iPhone -Apple
- Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
- Comment: that this all began after installing an update, and how you have troubleshot it thus far. Include the URL of this thread.
- Proceed from there as necessary.
