I have a Seagate 1KAAP2-501 that won't back up my Ventura 13.4.1 Mac OS. Help?

  • I have Seagate black up drive 1 TB 1KAAP2-501 that won't work on my new MacBook Pro. Can you help?

Try running first aid in disk utilities first. Go to Finder, applications, utilities, disk utilities. Find your External HD in the left column in disk utilities. Click on the disk. Then run first aid on it from the top right.


If that doesn't fix the issue then you will need to erase it in disk utilities and make sure it's formatted properly.
