Reduced video size when downloading from iCloud

Hi,

I took a one hour 4K video. The video file size seems to be 17.5 GB on my iPhone and iCloud.

But when i try to download if from icloud.com to my PC or Mac, the dowloaded file turns to be 16.8 GB instead of 17.5 GB.

I know there is an option to download in original full size and compatibility size. I make sure it is downloaded in original size but it turns out to be reduce the size.

Is there any way to download the video in real size shown on phone memory. Maybe using a cable and iTunes software?

Hi there arturmiklagard,

If you use iCloud Photos on your Mac, you should be able to access the full resolution video in the Photos app.

If you'd like to see other options, this article has multiple ways to import photos and videos to a Mac device: Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone or iPad to your Mac or PC - Apple Support You could also see if you can AirDrop the video from your iPhone to your Mac as seen in this article: How to use AirDrop on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Take care.
