Phone not charging with lightning cable anymore

I have the iPhone 12 pro max with the current iOS 16.x and I have recently switched to wireless charging. I have a 2019 VW Jetta in which I would use CarPlay to charge my phone and for apple music/navigation. Now when I connect my phone in the car, it no longer charges the phone. So no apple music or navigation. I tried using my daughters phone with the lightning cable in the car and it charges her phone. Has anyone else using a wireless charger for their phone loss the ability to connect your phone to your cars infotainment center?
