downloaded ExpressVPN to Iphone..works fine on all apps except Hotmail..I cant receive or send messages..I get messages like "Microsoft Account has detected unusual sign in activity" or "Email doesnt have right username or password"...however,if I disconnect VPN..Hotmail works just fine.

Using a VPN to access the Internet is counterproductive. it does absolutely nothing to protect your privacy or secure your data. Get rid of it.
VPNs are often used by malicious entities to hide the point of origin of their attacks and many large service providers are starting to block connections from those VPN providers.
Are you using the VPN to create a secure connection to a particular server? If not, it may well be doing you more harm than good. I would suggest uninstalling it.
