iPhone no longer suggesting email to autofill

The suggestion to set up auto fill through Settings>Safari>Autofill was helpful. Additionally, I needed to add my email address to my own contact name.

Go to contacts, find your name and open your contact card. My email address was there, but said “Siri found in mail.” Click on your email address, then choose the “add to contact” option.

This solved it for me. Assuming you have autofill enabled you also have to go to contacts and tap on your name/account at the top and enter all of the emails you want to use via autofill. I have a number of email addresses I need to use so I added all of them. I can then choose which one to use when needed.

i had the same issue, I disabled the password autofill - general > settings > password > password options > turn off the password autofill - after this, my email address started to show on top of my keyboard again for autofill. Hope this will help. Thank you.

What I did was go to Settings/Safari/select autofill. One thing to remember here is that in your phones contact information you need to ensure that your personal information is up to date. Go to your own contact ID in your contacts and fill in the phone number, your address, your birth date, email, etc. I think that this is the most important part of the process. I found that I had two contacts for myself and had to delete one and updated my information therein. This after updating to an iPhone 15 so try that and see if it helps out. Good luck!

Set up AutoFill

You can save your personal information or credit card number on your iPhone to speed up filling in online forms and making purchases. Go to Settings > Safari > AutoFill. Do any of the following: Set up contact info: Turn on Use Contact Info, tap My Info, then choose your contact card.

While I know this thread is a little stale, I stumbled across it because I had the same issue. I figured out a workaround where, in my contact card, I changed the designation of my email address from "home" to "other". Now it shows up as an autofill option.

Same thing randomly happened to me - tried everything but ended up installing new update of iOS 16.6 and it fixed the issue for me. Maybe try that?

In Safari, within the GMail website, go to settings (the gear at the top right), then choose See All Settings.

On the next page, scroll down until you see "Create contacts for auto-complete:" and make sure you have chosen to turn that option on so it saves contacts as you send emails. That may help with this problem you're facing. That's what was wrong with mine which led me to stumble across this thread.

You have to add your email into your contact for yourself.

I had this issue with filling my address I just made a text shortcut for my address.

hope the update install works for you too! Was very annoying that the auto fill email wasn’t working, I send myself 20 emails a day for reminders and was a pain having to type it in every time! Good luck

Same here, on my other family members its working fine all on 17.4.1 but no more on my own phone ;)

it previously fetched emailadress ideas to pick during filling eg on apps aswell - autofill safari is enabled with my contact card. im happy that im not alone with this issue ;)
