If Wi-Fi is Greyed-Out On an iPad:

Try the Following in the Order Provided:

A. Try Manually Restarting your iPad:

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Select: General
  3. Scroll to: the Very Bottom
  4. Select: Shut Down
  5. Slide Finger: to the Right
  6. Wait: 30 Seconds
  7. Power One: the iPad
  8. Try this Once More

B. Clear Temporary Internet Files:

Clear your Temporary Internet Files(Cookies & Cache) of Safari:

C. Update Using a Computer:

You can use a Computer to update. Read My User Tip: Making Use of a Computer for Updating an iOS Device - User Tip. If any updates are available, they will install, sure enough.

As a Last Resort:

D. Restore from a Backup:

Have a backup of your iPad? If you are not concerned with losing data, then restore your iPad from a backup that was made when Wi-Fi was working. Prior to restoring, backup your iPad, incase anything goes wrong with the restoration.
