iWatch Camera Remote for Night Mode

eg iWatch SE & iPhone 12 in Photo mode: the Video recording graphic appears rather than for example the 29s countdown graphic. Currently when setting the Night Mode to Max (set automatically to 10s if not static, 29s if still), you need to touch the Remote shutter button very quickly to start the exposure. The video recording icon will appear, but will not start. It will disappear after 29s. If the shutter button is pressed any longer then the iPhone camera will start recording. This seems to be a glitch or the developers have not fixed it.

…I should have made my initial question/ clarification clearer: the iPhone(12) will take a 29s exposure with whatever exposure adjustment additionally selected; his can be done by touching the Camera Remote button very quickly. (The “Recording” graphic will appear - don’t touch it- it then disappears after 29s and the photo will have been taken with a 29s shutter time exposure)

Hello Vinodolski,

We see you are asking about taking photos with your iPhone and Apple Watch. We want to make sure we properly understand what you are trying to do and set appropriate expectations with how the features work with your Apple Watch and iPhone.

If you are trying to use the Camera Remote on your Apple Watch to take photos from your iPhone, the timer will only allow you 3 seconds. This is expected.

Use Camera Remote and timer on Apple Watch

Then, if you are referring to taking low-light photos using Night mode on your iPhone camera, we aren't sure what you are referring to for the 29 second "countdown". Here is official guidance on using Night Mode: Use Night mode on your iPhone

Hopefully that provide valuable insight for guidance. If you have additional questions, reply back. Make sure to include details about what specifics apps and functions you are working through on both your devices.

Best regards.
