How do I get rid of the shortcut on my homepage if I deleted the action in the shortcut app?

so if you have iOS 18, you want to drag any shortcut icons that you have on your home screen (so shortcuts that you created and added to your home screen to look like an app, but don't have the option to be deleted) to its OWN page on your home screen.

From there, hold DOWN on one of the shortcuts. The only option you should see is "Edit Home Screen". Click that.

That should take you to wobbly screen where you can edit and delete apps. However, I'm assuming your issue is that you CANNOT delete the shortcut.

From there, (if you are on iOS18) click the small "edit" button on the top right. It should give you the option to select "Edit Pages"

From there it will bring up a list of all the home pages that have an app on it.

Deselect the one that you have put all the shortcuts onto their own separate page.

It will ask you if you want to remove the page, add the apps you're deleting to your app library, and will confirm that the shortcut apps will not be added to your app library.

From there, viola! You should have gotten rid of all the shortcut apps that you had on your home screen that you previously could not hold down and delete like a normal app. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hello this happened to me and I was on the break of tears it’s so frustrating. What you can do is putt the ones you want to delete on one page and then click edit home screen and click the pages scroll dot things at the bottom and then click delete the page the shortcuts are on. Sorry if that made no sense I promise it works. 😭

don't worry. if you are ok with redoing your entire homepage follow the instructions.

1. hold the home screen, and don't do it on an app
2. click the dots that appear at the bottom
3. click the checkmark on the homepage tab you wanna delete and delete it
4. redo the entire homepage tab again ;-;

I made a short cut and didn’t like it so i deleted it on the shortcut app then it stayed on my home screen and doesn’t even work😭 HELP

I have tried over and over again how I delete a shortcut so in the end I removed the app AND THE ICONS WERE STILL THERE! Please help my phone is ruined😭😭😭😭
