Card not added on iphone wallet but added on Watch wallet

Hello everyone,

I have tried many times adding my Visa debit card on my iPhone wallet, but a constant message “Card not added” is showing up. The card is successfully added on my Watch wallet though. I have tried all methods suggested by Apple Support and all methods found in this forum and also I have contacted my bank and nothing resolves the issue. My bank cannot provide any more assistance as they have thoroughly investigated the matter, with no luck.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance!

Your list of troubleshooting says >Make sure that you are in a supported country or region.<

Did you actually check the regions for your iPhone and Apple ID?

Confirm your region is set correctly.

Change the language and region on iPhone - Apple Support

Change your Apple ID country or region

Once updated, please do a forced restart of your iPhone.

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Make sure your are signed into your Apple ID/iCloud account on your iPhone.

If you can list the things Apple Support had you do, that would be helpful. Without that information, in order to troubleshoot the issue properly, we should start with the basics.

What bank issued the card in question? What is the error message you’re receiving when you try to add the card?

It’s Piraeus Bank in Greece.

The error message is “Card not added - Contact your card issuer for more information”

Plus except a Revolut card, all other successfully added cards (4) are from Greek banks

Are both Visa cards issued by a Greek bank?

Yes, although from 2 different banks.

It is odd, as I have never experienced any issues with my iPhone Wallet before and I’m constantly using it since Greek banks allowed Apple Pay.
