I have spent a lot of effort digitizing LPs into a PC running Windows 8.1 and iTunes 11.0.4.4. I would like to put these files (playlists) onto my new iPhone 14 Pro. The new phone is of course running Music rather than iTunes. I cannot get the new phone to connect into iTunes on the PC. Is there any hope for making this work?

I believe that the iPhone 14 Pro originally came with iOS 16 installed and to the best of my knowledge iOS 16 requires iTunes 12.12.5.8 or later, but that version cannot be installed on a computer running Windows 8.1.
I'm not familiar with iTunes 11.0.4.4, I thought iTunes went from 11.0.3 to 11.1 in October 2017. Regardless of that detail, since iTunes 12 was released in September 2018, you are using a very old version of iTunes. Again, as far as I know, a Windows 8.1 machine should be able to update iTunes to 12.10.11.2, although as you can see from my notes, even that will not be sufficient to use with your iPhone 14 Pro.
