e mails marked as unread

Hi,

I am currently using an I phone 14 plus.

Every morning when I check my mail

box, I am shown that I have 2 unread e mails. I go into the correct e mail account, I then have to scroll all the way to the bottom (oldest), filter as unread, then delete.

I then go into settings, turn off the correct mail tab, re start my phone and the disappear.

The next morning, I have exactly the same problem with exactly the same two e mails.

Can anyone help please?

iPhone 14 Plus, iOS 16

Try logging into the email providers website and deleting them from there. It would appear that the Mailbox is an IMAP mailbox that just mirrors the server from you email provider and for some reason they are not being deleted, or even marked as read, from there which is why they continue to show on your iPhone. What is the email provider?
