My old iMac’s Bluetooth was turned off and was mistakenly shut down. From what I can see, I can’t find a way to turn the Bluetooth back on from the login screen. Is there any way to reset it or log in without a keyboard?

You will need a wired keyboard and wired mouse to boot that iMac, sign in, and access the Bluetooth preferences pane to turn Bluetooth back on.

You are welcome. Even though my primary Mac uses an Apple Magic Keyboard and mouse, I do keep an older spare wired Apple keyboard and a $5 wired mouse in case they are needed.
I have an imac i haven't turned on for 2 years. I now turned on and plugged in a wired keyboard. It won't connect so I can't type anything. The wireless mouse is connected and is working. How do I get the keyboard to work? It also won't connect to my wireless keyboard.

You may need to leave plugged in for a couple of days & do a few restarts... assuming the Keyboard is OK.
