email accounts on iPad not showing name of email account when in inbox view.

I have an iPad Air 4th generation running on OS Version 16.6. I have 2 email accounts and when looking at the mailboxes in list view I can see which account is which but if I open one of the accounts there is nothing to tell me in the inbox view which account I'm in. I have an iPhone 12 mini also running on 16.6 with the same 2 email accounts but on the iPhone it shows me which inbox I'm in. How do I get the iPad to show the account when I'm in the inbox view?

You have encountered one of the functional differences between Mail for iOS (iPhone) and Mail for iPadOS (iPad).

There isn’t a configurable option to replicate the “named” inbox on your iPad. That said, if your Mail sidebar is enabled, this will highlight/identify the current mailbox view.

Apple does invite submission of comments and feature requests via its Product Feedback portal. For iPad and iPadOS:

Feedback - iPad - Apple

If you would like to see additional or updated features in a future version of iPadOS, this would be the most appropriate channel through which to make your request.
