How to get spoken directions

I just bought a Honda 2019 CRV EXL. I have a iPhone 10 xr. I was able to connect my phone to apple CarPlay but I am having trouble in Maps. I cannot get spoken voice directions.

You can manage spoken directions in Settings under Maps > Spoken directions. If that is already enabled, there is a speaker icon in maps when you have navigation active, if you tap on it, you can select if you want it to speak all directions, only alerts, or nothing.
