Brand New Macbook Pro M2 Max 96Gb not working since I opened the box

Hello, my MacBook M2 was broken as soon as I opened the box from the store. This has never happened to me before, especially since the order was almost at the maximum configuration. I live in Lisbon, Portugal. Before getting the broken MacBook, I had to wait for its delivery for 5 weeks. After discovering the issue, the store took the computer for service and it's been over 4 weeks with no information about what's happening with the computer. I spent almost $6000 on the purchase, and now I don't even know what to do. Has anyone else experienced this? Can someone advise where to turn to check what's going on?

Call Apple Support directly

Contact Apple for support and service - Apple Support

This is just a user to user board with Apple moderation.

Indicate where you brought your machine in for repair. Hopefully they gave you a case # so AppleCare can follow up with them. Always ask for a case number when bringing it in for repair.

You're going to have to deal directly with Apple and/or the store where you bought it if not an Apple Store. We are not Apple, just users like you.

You should have started the return process as soon as you realized it was "broken". If it's new, It has a one year warranty that will cover needed repairs. But you must act within that one year. And again, the store where you bought it will likely be who you end up working with if it's not an Apple store.

Use the "Support" link this page lower left to contact Apple. You will likely have to go to other websites to complete the process; maybe need to call Apple directly.

Saying 96GB is not working doesn't make sense. If your drive has failed, it all fails, not just a portion unless you partitioned it and I'm guessing you didn't do that since you said broken out of the box.
