Laptop does not detect external devices via USB

Hi, I have a problem with my MacBook Air 2018. It do not detect external devices, which I try to plug in via USB-A (using hub). Devices do not appears in the System information -> Hardware -> USB. The issue is weird, cause it can detect external hard disk like pendrive, but it do not see mouse or keyboard. I don't use magic mouse or magic keyboard, I have third-party devices. I'm also sure, that devices are fine, I use them on my other windows machine. Does anybody has such a problem?

Try and use another hub, or usb C enabled devices to see if the issue persists. Most of the times this has something to to with the hub you're using
