how to connect to a com port

I am trying to program an Arduino ESP32 and the program asks for a com port. But only a Bluetooth connection appears. Is there a com port function imilar o that on Windoze?

I have no issues connecting via bluetooth and remaining connected to any other bluetooth device. Cricut is saying it is Apple's issue. I can connect via an iPhone and older iPad mini but not my MacBook. I would not recommend anyone wasting your money on Cricut machines until this issue can be resolved.
