Apple blocked imessage, accused of spam! Said can only unblock 1x

This also just happened to my husband and today is the 3rd time and they said they can’t see who is reporting his number or when/if he will be unblocked. This is crazy! He uses his phone for his business and does not spam. He has a list of people who he sends messages to one at a time, not in a group text, who have asked to be texted when he is having an estate sale. It’s pretty sad that if apple puts a delete and report spam and someone even accidentally selects it instead of just delete, that it could have this crippling effect on someone’s account. As big as Apple is, they should have better tools to identify real spam and see the history of the persons messages as well as the account who is reporting people. I think this should be in the IOS fixes. This really is horrible to do to innocent people.

Somehow after a couple of months my iMessage and iPhone went back to normal after they said they wouldn’t fix it. I’m not sure what happened, but I did constantly call and complain, not sure if that helped lol

Was this your first or second time being blocked by them? Just curious because it's happening to me too for a second time and they're saying they can't unblock me right now and that I have to wait it out. I only text friends/family... SO frustrating.

this is my second time and they're telling me I have to wait for an unknown time period. could be 6 months or a YEAR!?!? I have a feeling someone higher up other than a senior advisor could do something about this. And it's frustrating for those of us that are not actually spamming people... With the technology they have today we shouldn't be having this issue. On another note, I'm glad you got it back!! Praying I do too... it's been 4 days of misery. I wonder if going into an apple store would help. I really don't want to change my # or get an android.

I just checked my original post and it was May 9 and I had been blocked for a week already so about a month and half. What I am thinking is that the 2nd time you are blocked they want to really make sure you aren't fraud which is why they can't unblock you right away and there probably isn't a quick system at the moment. Thats my assumption.

Unfortunately I can’t access the transcript anymore. Perhaps trying to go to the Apple Store. Or change to a non Apple phone. You are allowed to port your number to another type of phone.

This just happened to me yesterday/resolved today. I haven’t spoken to anyone new so the mark as spam couldn’t be an option. Just really bad customer service honestly. I even requested them to go through my texts

This also happened to me. Spent hours on the phone with them until finally they told me my imessage was blocked for spam. I don't even use my imessage for business, simply personal texts.

I receive spam constantly though. This seems super unfair.

I have had the same issue. My email appears now for recipients and I haven’t been given a response as to when my I messages would be unblocked. I looked everywhere for a number to talk to corporate or someone to get an exception but customer care tell me the same thing that they have no way to unblock me.

This also happened to me. I’m now waiting to see if 2x can be reinstated. I use my phone for my job too so I assume someone didn’t have my number and reported me… but I can’t figure out a way to just tell Apple it’s me, I’m not spamming people.

I just returned to Apple less than a week ago with an iPhone and MacBook, and oddly only my MacBook is affected when I iMessage my girlfriend; but this is also happening to me. Found this thread, and wondering if you've received a response from the FTS or Apple yet.

Same thing happened to me I got reported as spam 2 times now I’m blocked a 2nd time. Doesn’t sound like I will have I message back on my phone again ever for my number of 13 years. I feel like this is a censorship of some sort. When did Apple decide all of this? Crazy how much money I pay for all their devices just to treat me poorly in return. The first advisor I spoke to also rushed me off the phone.

Did you ever get this resolved? My number has been blocked and Apple will not unblock it. The person I spoke with escalated a ticket to manual review and they still denied it. My only recourse is to change the telephone number I've had for 22 years! Please tell me you found a solution.
