Problems subscribing

I REALLY want to subscribe...but...my MacBook won't do it, and my smart TV won't do it. I keep getting these on screen messages from Apple saying things like "No Connection" or it skips past me entering my Apple ID to the "forgot your password". It seems to be typical Apple...they obfuscate things with slick graphics and there isn't just a simple and 'easy' way to just click on 'start subscription' and GO! Steve Jobs...what have you done?! I want to start watching complete seasons...not just the 1st free episode. I am starting to think "Forget about it". Sad really, far too 'clever' for their own good. I am starting to think about deleting the app off of my smart TV and giving Apple the 'bird'!

… my MacBook won't do it …

You forgot to specify the model and year and OS version. There are minimum system requirements. MacBook Pro, MacBook Air, or MacBook? Identify the model of your Apple device - Apple Support

… and my smart TV won't do it.

You forgot to specify the brand and model and year. Not all smart TVs that support the Apple TV app allow in-app financial transactions [footnote-2] for this app, such as starting subscriptions.

Windows, Windows 10

That can work too. Go to tv.apple.com on Firefox or Chrome, sign in to the site, and subscribe there. Once you are subscribed, it should work on any of your devices with the Apple TV app.

"No Connection"

If the sign-up can’t communicate with the remote servers, then that will interrupt the process. Firewall settings, custom DNS, VPNs, and other network customizations can possibly interfere. Such would be specific to your devices and/or home network, and would be different for other users.
