TCL Android + Apple TV+ app = No dialogue track

All other apps on my TCL TV work fine. Netflix, Mubi, Youtube, etc.

But the Apple TV+ app doesn't work well. Shows and Movies load and play, but the audio is always missing the dialogue track. I can hear sound effects and music tracks, but no dialogue.

It seems that many others also have this issue. I've tried updating/reinstalling software. No luck. Wondering if Apple will update the software at some point.

For a year now, my workaround is connecting my Macbook to the TV via HDMI whenever I want to watch movies/shows on Apple TV+. Would be cool if I no longer need to do this.

If you use an audio setup with left and right speaker, then set your TV or TV-connected streaming device to output in stereo.

For surround sound tracks, almost all of the dialog will be concentrated to the Center speaker. Without such a speaker, you would be missing almost all of the dialog — unless set to output as stereo.
